It is incredibly basic, in part because that stupid gold star image on the front page was truly awful to try and implement because of div tags and classes. So, what is CSS?

I am so glad you asked, internet stranger! CSS is an acronym for Cascading Style Sheet, and it is a file type used for formatting HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) documents, like this one! In fact, it is also a PHP file (Acronym contains itself and makes my head hurt) - which is how all of the pages are loaded from a database that is not embedded into the page. Put simply, CSS makes the document look pretty - just so long as you know how to use it to make stuff look pretty.
